Getting Married, The Best man

Traditionally the best man would liaise closely with the chief Bridesmaid to ensure that the wedding runs smoothly. During the run up to the Wedding Day and right up until the day before the best man would primarily be ensuring that the bridegroom is on schedule in preparing himself for the Wedding.

 

 

  • Appoint the ushers with the bridegroom (Again this is the traditional way, although more often nowadays the bridegroom would do this himself) , Collect the hire clothes the day before the wedding , Help the Bridegroom organize the Stag Night , Ensure that Transport is available for yourself and the bridegroom and arrange for the transportation of the happy couple after the reception. , Check that the button holes have been ordered for yourself and the bridegroom , Get fully dressed before the bridegroom so as you have time to help him , Check and double check those rings , Escort the groom to the church , Take charge of the honeymoon documents and the grooms luggage , Escort the groom to his position in the church , Pass the wedding ring to the service giver , Sign the register at the vestry as a witness , Organize the wedding party on behalf of the photographer. , Pay any marriage fee's , Ensure the newlyweds have a smooth passage to the waiting car. , Make a speech , Act as toastmaster , Ensure that the wedding presents are transported safely
