Medieval Mace

This startling club is one of the more interesting weapons depicted in the Maciejowski Bible, a circa 1250 illustrated book that's a treasure trove of period arms and armour.

The heft and feel causes one to pause, as it is simple, brutal and highly effective.

Shaft is hardwood. Head is a steel tube fitted to the shaft, and covered with four rows of steel studs making it a highly effective weapon, favoured by both knight and man-at-arms.
