Attacking and Defending a Castle

Attacking and Defending a Castle in medieval times depended on how well the castle was made, and what it was made of. There were three ways to take a castle. The first is not to attack the castle at all! and seize the lands around it. The second is direct assault, or laying siege to the castle, the last is besieging.

• Giant crossbow

• Under siege
• Belfry Tower

Castle Defence

• The Curtain Wall
• The Portcullis
• The Gatehouse
• The Drawbridge Over The Moat
• Oil, Water, Stones
• Arrows

If an enemy wanted to attack a Castles it had to decide what the castles weak points were and which weapons would be the most effective.
