These stories are from the original 1884 text of Margaret Hunt, I'm told the best translation....

UK, I do not own the copyright of these tales, to the best of my knowledge they have been sourced from the public domain and the original 1884 publication. In the UK Typical duration of legal copyright protection, provided by the Berne Convention is life of the author plus fifty years from death. 1863 + 50 = 1913

Parents
Grimm's Fairy Tales are not all appropriate for very young children. Some the of the tales contain violence and prejudice. Some of the prejudice in evidence still exists today and cannot be viewed as entirely historical in nature. Please exercise care when reading them to young children. Read the tale yourself first, then decide if it is appropriate.

Thanks go to all the visitors who have helped put this list together back in 1989/1995. There has been no edits made to the original text other than page/paragraph layout.

If anyone has more information on Margaret Hunt, please let me know.
